Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we get most.

If your question isn't here, send us a message — we'll answer it directly and add it to the list when it helps other clients.

What services does RC2 Automação provide?

We provide electrical installation (industrial, commercial and residential), preventive and predictive electrical maintenance, IT infrastructure (structured cabling, server rooms, network hardware installation), industrial automation (PLC panels, control wiring), standby power systems (generators, UPS, ATS) and compliance auditing.

What area do you serve?

We are based in Guarulhos, São Paulo, and we serve the entire Greater São Paulo metropolitan region — including São Paulo capital, the ABC region (Santo André, São Bernardo, São Caetano), Osasco, Barueri, Cotia, Cumbica and the surrounding industrial belt. For projects further afield, get in touch to discuss feasibility.

Are you certified and legally registered?

Yes. Our legal entity is Recilima Comercio e Servicos Ltda (CNPJ 08.904.015/0001-96). Our technicians hold NR-10 electrical safety qualification. Projects that require it are executed under ART (Anotação de Responsabilidade Técnica) filed with CREA-SP.

How does the quotation process work?

First, we arrange a free on-site visit to inspect the installation and understand the scope. Within five business days you receive a written proposal with itemized materials, labor, timeline and technical assumptions. If you accept, we schedule the work. Any subsequent scope change is priced and approved in writing before execution — no surprises on the final invoice.

Do you offer warranty on your work?

Yes. Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from handover. Components carry their manufacturer's warranty, which we pass through to you in full. Warranty callbacks are handled at no additional charge for the covered period.

What is preventive maintenance and do I need it?

Preventive maintenance is a scheduled, documented inspection program designed to catch electrical problems while they're still cheap to fix. It typically includes thermographic surveys (infrared imaging of panels), torque verification on terminations, insulation testing, load balancing and panel cleaning. Any facility that depends on continuous electrical operation — factories, warehouses, offices with server rooms, condominiums, clinics — benefits from a formal maintenance program.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency support?

Yes, for maintenance-contract clients. All Essential-tier and above contracts include a 24/7 emergency number staffed around the clock, including holidays. Enterprise-tier contracts include a guaranteed 90-minute on-site response across most of Greater São Paulo.

Do you work with existing IT vendors?

Absolutely. We frequently work alongside our clients' existing IT teams or managed service providers. We focus on the physical infrastructure — cabling, racks, power, grounding — and coordinate with your IT vendor on configuration and cutover.

Can you handle both electrical and IT work in one project?

Yes. That's actually one of our differentiators. We can design and install the electrical distribution and the structured cabling as a single integrated project, with one team, one schedule, one point of accountability. This is especially valuable for new server rooms, office renovations and industrial control-room projects.

What documentation do I receive at project handover?

Depending on scope: single-line electrical diagrams, cable schedules, panel photographs, torque records, commissioning reports (insulation, ground continuity, phase rotation), ART registration where applicable, structured cabling certification reports, rack layout diagrams and full photographic records. This is delivered as a PDF package for your records.

How do I request an emergency callout if I'm not a contract client?

Non-contract clients are handled on a best-effort basis during business hours. If you experience a critical fault outside business hours, call our main line and leave a message — we monitor it and will call back as quickly as possible. For guaranteed 24/7 response, we recommend a maintenance contract.

Do you handle small residential jobs?

We do, though our sweet spot is condominium common areas, high-end residential builds and full renovations rather than replacing a single outlet. If you have a small residential job, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

How can I pay?

We invoice via nota fiscal (Brazilian tax invoice). Payment terms are negotiated per project — typically a deposit at project start and the balance at handover for larger installations, or monthly billing for ongoing maintenance contracts. We accept bank transfer and PIX.
